Route 33 Extension

The Route 33 Extension will provide a direct connection between US Route 22 and Interstate 78 in Northampton County, PENNDOT Engineering District 5-0. This project includes the construction of a new interchange with I-78 between the Easton (PA 611) and Hellertown (PA 412) interchanges, a six span steel truss structure over the Lehigh River, Lehigh Canal, Canal Towpath and Conrail line, new interchanges at William Penn Highway and Freemansburg Avenue, and a connection to the existing interchange at US Route 22.
